Shanklin Chine

Shanklin Chine is one of the Island’s oldest visitor attractions that’s been drawing visitors for over 200 years with its natural beauty and wonder.

The Island’s most historic attraction. First opening as a visitor attraction in 1817, Shanklin Chine is at the forefront of many childhood memories. It’s even been the source of inspiration for the likes of Keats and Jane Austen.

Why not visit us and enjoy a Cream Tea in our Tea Room, indulge in a piece of history by visiting the P.L.U.T.O. exhibition, treat yourself to a keepsake in our Antiques Centre or just enjoy relaxing in the peace & tranquillity of this natural gorge.
