Whitwell lost its only shop many years ago when the owners sold up and made the former post office into a residential property, therefore the nearest grocery shop is Norris Family Grocers in Niton which is open daily, even bank holidays.
There is also a post office in Niton opposite the pharmacy near the White Lion public house.
However, we highly recommend St Lawrence Post Office located off of Spindler Road.
Although, on Mondays and Fridays there is a post office open in the Whitwell Parish Church.
