We also have a large sitting room where guests can relax after a busy day visiting the Islands many attractions. A variety of birds and also foxes, badgers, rabbits and hares are frequent visitors to the garden. There is an area where visitors can relax and also a safe parking space beside the Ford Farm House. There are fishing lakes in the village of Whitwell and golf courses in Ventnor and Sandown. Nearby places to visit include Ventnor Botanical Garden, Carisbrooke Castle, The Garlic Farm, St Catherine’s lighthouse, Osborne House and a variety of small attractive coves on the south and west coast of the island. Bus service within 20-minute walk, good general stores 1.6 miles and public house – 1.3 miles.
Ford Farm House used to be part of a large farm with land extending throughout Whitwell. Some years ago the land and barns were sold off and we purchased our lovely home in 2008. Find out more on the about page.
